Hello everyone,
My name is Polar and I’m a big guy. You should know right away that I am deaf...but we’ve been working on this with my foster family. I know the hand signals; I come back when I see your hand raised high in the air. And lately, I have received a vibrating collar so I know you are calling me even if I don’t see you. My foster parents say I behave even better than my colleagues. I get along with everyone - I have no time to waste fighting or dominating - I’d rather eat and play if you know what I mean.
Personality-wise, I am a big teddy bear. I love cuddles and naps at home, that’s for sure (I must have been a lapdog in another life). I am looking for an active family who loves going out for walks, to the dog park or to the beach (I love chasing birds!). I am a big player too and when we are going to the park, everybody knows I like to be in the spotlight and run until I can no more, with all the other fellas.
In terms of food, I decided that I would not be picky and eat really everything. My special treat: cheese! I will follow you anywhere if you have some.
I will need special care because I am deaf (yep, leave me off-leash only where safe) but also because my fur is very white and my skin will need protection from the sun. Other than that, I am ready to give all the love I have to anyone brave enough to look me in the eyes and tell me I am not the cutest dog of all. Looking forward to meeting you and showing you all my skills.
Cheesily yours,
Polar
