Maru

Imp 241 "Maru". Maru is a rescue pup from Mutitjulu Community at Uluru NT. Maru mean "Black" in Pitjantjatjara which is the language spoken out there. He was rescued December 2020 at approx. 4 weeks old. He had a DNA test and had 46 different breeds him in. We are describing him as a little scruffy terrier mix. He is now approx. 12 weeks, he was surrendered as he was showing some resource guarding behaviour towards food and the family had younger children. Since being in care we haven't observed this behaviour, we have been hand feeding him and giving him some basic obedience training. Given he was adopted at 4 weeks he may lack some socialisation skills and missed out on learning how to be a dog. Maru is very playful, happy and loving. He just wants to be with you. We are looking for an experienced home who have the time and patience to train him. We would recommend no young children, although he is good with them we would prefer a home with more time and consistency. His adoption fee is $303 which includes microchipping, vaccination, desexing, worming, flea treatment and registration. He will be ready to go on Friday 19 February.
