About Maya ~ 1 year old cat (on trial 8/3/21)
Maya, as her name suggests, is a beautiful girl with a calming presence. She is only a young girl at around 1 year old.
She started off living in a colony of cats where a lovely community of people fed her and showed her affection, until recently she went into foster care with her 4 week old kittens.
Maya is very affectionate and will request pets and scratches by being vocal and will show her gratification with loud purrs.
She has beautifully accustomed herself into living indoors with her foster parents and has been very grateful ever since. She’s doing really well with her litter training.
She’s usually good with other cats if the introduction has been done right, but hasn’t been tested around dogs/other animals. But we’re positive she’ll get along with other animals cause of her calm and positive nature. Maya has been around young children and is quite tolerant so she should be okay with children of any age as long as they are respectful of animals and correct supervision is given.
Maya is a very sociable girl so we would love for her to go to a home with another friendly cat for company or even for her to be adopted with one of her kittens! Although, if you are home a lot we think she would be happy enough with human company as well.
Maya’s adoption fee is $180 which covers her flea and worming treatment while in care, microchipping, her first vaccination and desexing. Maya is booked in for her vet work very shortly so will be able to be adopted out of area once she is desexed, but in the meantime we are looking for local home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast area.
Maya is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW. If you’re interested in adopting Maya, please fill out our cat adoption form: https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
