About Jemima
Hi there, I'm Jemima!
I'm a timid but friendly girl who is ready to break out of kennels and find a loving home of my own. I can be a bit shy about new people and experiences, but once I have some time to adjust, I'm ever so friendly and love nuzzling up to you for gentle pats, or just hanging out together.
I love meeting new canine friends, I don't mind whether they're big or small. In fact, I wouldn't mind living with a doggie friend to help me learn the ropes of pet life and boost my confidence. My ideal home would be one with a safe space where I can retreat if I'm not feeling too confident, maybe a backyard or even just a crate... some treats wouldn't go astray either, if you're offering!
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Adoption details
All of Greyhound Rescue's adoption and foster placements are on a case-by-case basis. The first step is to complete the application form on our website. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Greyhound Rescue's adoption fee is $420. All our hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested and treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
