About Pickwick
I'm trying a new home to see if i like it. Pickwick is a dear and a real softie and has this way of looking at you with a smile because he is glad to see you. Of course dogs smile! he also "talks" like many pugs, telling you how glad he is to see you. Pickwick is a loving, playful dog who enjoys a romp with just william the border terrier x pug who is in foster care with him. They chase each other round the house and yard with great joy, rolling and rumbling and having fun. They sleep on the dog mat entwined in a heap and pickwick sometimes snores a little but, being a crossbreed, he does not suffer with the nasal problems of some pugs. Although in many ways pickwick is still a puppy, he is a big boy and loves being with you. He would prefer to sleep on your lap (although he is rather heavy) and needs to lose about 3kg and keep it off. His carer would need to keep a careful watch on his diet because pugs love their food and readily gain weight. Pickwick would enjoy being with an active family with older children who will take him for long walks and runs along the beach or to the dog park. He would also like another doggy companion his size for company if his owners are working people. Pickwick is housetrained and doesn't dig, chew or bark much. He has to sit before being given treats or allowed to come inside and is learning not to jump up. Pickwick is quick to pick up on training and quite smart so, with some commitment, he will be a wonderful companion for growing children. Pickwick is a house dog and is house trained. When his coat grows longer it will need regular brushing and grooming. Pickwick comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350. If you would like more information on pickwick or to arrange to meet him, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading.
