About Marshall
This handsome boy is Marshall. Marshall was born pretty much totally deaf (he can hear very loud or high pitch sounds), but that doesn't stop him from being an active, inquisitive, friendly pup. Marshall and his carer have had some sessions with a dog trainer and Marshall is starting to learn hand signals so that he understands what his humans want from him - his successful applicant can talk with Marshall's carer to get some tips and techniques on communicating with him via these hand signals. This gorgeous pup can be a little timid initially in new situations but is very friendly and enjoys getting a pat or scratch from people. He knows 'sit'.
Marshall is full of beans and will need a home who can provide him with a good daily run. His lead walking needs a bit of work as he loves to stop and check everything out! He is great with all dogs and our preference would be for him to find a home with another dog to keep him company, to provide reassurance and to help him navigate his new world; although he could also do well in a home without another dog if his family members are around a lot. This boy thrives in a household where he has plenty of interaction and inclusion. Being alone all day would not suit him.
We are told Marshall has lived with children and is good with cats although this has not been tested in foster care. Given his deafness, he would be best suited to a home without young children: older kids/teens who understand that he can't hear them approaching to pat him should be fine. With springy legs, Marshall will need high and secure fencing to keep him safely in your property.
The most important thing for this beautiful boy is that his adoptive owners take on board his deafness and have the time and patience to train him for his needs to help him gain confidence and live the best life he possibly can.

ADOPTION NOTES
Adoption Fee: $465
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
