About Dusty ~ 14 week old female kitten
Meet Dusty! This beautiful girl is 14 weeks old and was rescued from a pound in the Upper Hunter with her two siblings when they were 7 weeks old. The Three Amigos arrived into care absolutely terrified, as they’d had limited contact with people. Amazingly, even after just one week, these brave little kittens showed remarkable progress and had started to come out of their shell and show hints of their cheeky gorgeous natures. They have all continued to thrive and adjust with lots of TLC from their foster carer.
Dusty is taking a little longer to adjust and her new family will need to be patient and gentle with her as she is still quite timid until she gets to know you. Dusty will often startle easily with loud unexpected noises but she is continuing to improve each day. Dusty is still getting used to being picked up, but once she gets to know you will happily wander up to you and enjoy a pat. Dusty likes to follow her brother Lucky's lead and obviously feels safer with him around. Dusty has the cutest black and white features, with two perfectly placed black dots in the middle of her nose! Dusty will happily play and wrestle with her brothers, and is so fun to watch.
Dusty has been exposed to her carer’s dog, but she's still not quite brave enough to be friends. Dusty absolutely loves her carer’s adult cats, and will happily curl up next to them or play with them. Dusty would be suited to a home with children over 8 years old who understand the need to be patient, calm and gentle. Any dogs in their new home would need to be calm and cat friendly. Dusty is fully litter trained and has a healthy appetite.
Dusty would love to be adopted with her brother Lucky, as it is recommended by cat behaviourists that kittens have a playmate and forever friend for an enriched life. All of our past adopters can attest to the fact that two kittens/cats is better than one! However, single adoption of either kitten will also be considered where the adoptive home has an existing cat or where someone is home most of the time (such as a work from home arrangement). Dusty is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and her adoption fee is $250 which covers her vet work. Dusty has been desexed, microchipped, and has had her first vaccination. If you're interested in adopting this gorgeous girl, please click on this link to apply: https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
