A very reluctant surrender from loving owners that we are awsiring with her rehoming, as described by her owners:

Mischa is a beautiful Silver Mackeral Maine Coon and is 10yrs old.
She is a bit of a loner and has bonded mostly with one member of the family, my husband. She is very affectionate with him and he is really the one who can handle her. I can only sneak a pat at dinner time, but with me and others, it is always on her terms.
She is content to spend time by herself but is happy to ‘chat’ at dinner time - her vocals certainly get a workout! She is an enthusiastic eater and enjoys her dinner and if she is looking for an ‘in-between snack’ she will certainly let you know as well. Don’t be surprised if the gravy disappears first – this is her favourite bit!
Biscuits are also a favourite treat, and she is very adept at picking out and eat the tastier ones first, saving the other ones for another time or maybe a midnight snack.
Grooming has never been a problem with Mischa – she takes very good care of herself and there has never been an issue with matting or skin conditions etc. She is very efficient when using kitty litter and doesn’t make a mess - she also likes her privacy, so an enclosed box is preferable. Her coat is super shiny and feels like silk, and really is her crowning glory.
She would well suited to a quiet home where she is the only animal, where she can be the centre of attention – this will bring her out of her shell. She has a tendency to get easily ‘spooked’ and will retreat and get very anxious quite quickly. Calm and quiet is best.
She currently lives with two dogs - they are definitely not bothered by her, but she is not a fan of theirs. She has always been a bit of a night owl and always come into eat and sleep, after the dogs have gone to bed! She has been an indoor and outdoor cat, but copes well inside too.
My husband and I are relocating to Singapore in and will be living in an apartment on a high floor. For Mischa’s well being we have made the very difficult decision to re-home her as the move will be very unsettling and possibly traumatic for – along with living in confined quarters with the two dogs it is not fair to put her through that. Her wellbeing and quality of life is very important to us and we are working closely with ‘The 9 Lives Project’ to ensure her rehoming is as comfortable as possible.
