About Scruffs
This gorgeous guy has had a hard life – Scruffs is a 9 year old boy who we were so blessed to bounce from the pound.
Scruffs was surrendered to the pound when he was deemed no longer useful to his owners.
Scruffs came into care in a truly heartbreaking fashion – he was patchy from loss of hair, exhausted and needing to regain his strength – he truly was a broken boy who was not used to human kindness or love.
Scruffs has been in care with us for approximately 3 months while he learnt to trust his foster mum and dad and foster skin brother.
He has been good with his foster fur brother (similar size breed) and is really enjoying a quiet life where he has a soft bed each night to lay on and be around his humans.
Scruffs will need a home that is fairly quiet and calm – he is still nervous on a lot of day to day activities however giving him a chance to settle, gain his confidence is just pure joy and each day and his gorgeous little personality is starting to shine thru.
Due to Scruffs age while he is currently with another dog - we feel he would either need to go with someone who has another old dog or no dog at all - he does not need high energy dogs jumping around him.
Scruffs is child friendly but we would prefer he go to someone that doesn't have kids under the age of 10 – simply just to give Scruffs that chance to relax and settle in a calm environment.
Scruffs sleeps inside in his bed that he loves, and we would wish for that to continue for him.
Scruffs enjoys being around his humans once he is comfortable but want a family who will let him come to them when he is ready.
Scruffs still has much more life and love left in him, and is looking for someone to spoil him the way older dogs should be.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
