About Deefa
Meet Deefa (D-for-Diesel) came into care after being left at the pound unclaimed. He is chipped as a Wolfhound Cross and will be 2 in March. He still runs around and plays like a 6 month old puppy, but is past the puppy destruction stage.
He is living in a rural environment with other dogs, and gets along with them great. He is house trained (although quietly sleeps in a crate) and crate trained. He is very quiet. The only time we hear him bark is if there is a reason. Usually it is to say a wild rabbit has entered the house yard. But he has shown no signs of chasing after them. He ignores the chooks, but I would not be willing to put him and the chooks in the same yard as each other. He is not worried about stock or wildlife in the paddocks surrounding the house yard.
He is still working on his manners, as he can get a bit excited and go to jump on you, he just gets so excited he forgets he’s not allowed to. And forgets how big he is.
He is very friendly with people. And loves to be invited on the couch for ‘cuddles’. He loves running around with a rope toy. Deefa needs another playful dog to live with.
He is quite an active dog. So needs a big back yard to romp around with his long legs. He has not met or been tested with cats. He is a great companion dog, and is never far from where you are.
If you are looking for an active to take on adventures and outings, but be a cuddle companion at night. And are not afraid to continue with his training, Deefa could be the one for you!
