About Doug - Assisted Rehome 🐾
This handsome boy has so much potential! Doug is just 12 months old and a mix of Ridgeback, Staffy & Doberman....and yes he has the short stumpy Doberman tail! He’s a super friendly boy who would love the companionship of another active dog in his new home. He is currently living as an only dog and living mainly outside, but very much loves to spend time with his people and other dogs.
He is toilet trained, living with children under 8yrs and been exposed to dogs of all sizes with no issues. He has not been exposed to cats, so unsure how he would go with them. Doug knows a number of commands....sit, stay, drop & shake hands and greets everyone with a tail wag. He is eager to please you and would benefit from having a calm home and people who are committed to training. Storms and fireworks are no bother to Doug….but he would prefer to be inside snoozing on his bed rather than outside during those times.
Although he loves his walks, he does need some work with lead training, but he's a pretty clever boy and would pick that up in no time. With the amount of energy this boy has, he would also love a good run, so if you are looking for a running partner, Doug would certainly have the stamina for that!
Although he's currently doing some chewing and digging in his current yard, he is also on his own majority of the day, and what else is there to do 🤷.....we believe that having another active dog in his life, the luxury of spending time inside with the family, regular walks/runs and someone willing to continue on with his training, Doug will an AMAZING and loyal furry friend.
Apartment life will not suit Doug. He will need a medium to large size yard with height appropriate fencing. He is not an escape artist or fence jumper.
If you think you can offer this boy an amazing home, we would love to hear from you. Doug is Microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, Desexed, wormed and Flea treated. He is currently living in Gorokan on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
