About Pixie
Pixie’s personality:
Pixie is sweet, happy and friendly. She is energetic and enjoys going for walks on the beach, or running around in the yard. She loves other dogs!
Pixie’s ideal forever home:
Pixie would suit a home where her family have plenty of time to spend with her and where she will be included in family outings. She is fantastic with kids but can be a bit jumpy when excited, so will need a home where she can receive the guidance she needs. A K9 companion would be ideal for Pixie.
Pixie’s story:
Pixie was rescued from a farm at 6 months of age, and has lived with her current family for 18 months. Her family are very upset to be letting her go but have a growing family, with twins on the way, that means they have less and less time to spend with Pixie. They feel that she is becoming neglected and deserves better.
From Pixie’s mum: We are rehoming through no fault of her own. We are struggling to take her out as much as we should for walks and play time. I am currently pregnant with twins on the way, and with a 2 year old already we can't see it getting any easier for quite some time (years), and she deserves better. She looks so sad and lonely at the moment. She gets a bit stressed if our boy cries or gets upset, and with another 2 new-born’s and no one having time to spend with her, it will break my heart. She is brilliant with our 2 year old boy who adores her.
She can be jumpy & excitable with new people but is not with us as we have trained her not to. She loves the beach and going for walks, but is not a fan of water. She is great with other dogs, so if she went to a home with another dog, that would be awesome. But the main thing is she is with someone who has time to spend with her, walk her and have her as a companion. She is an inside dog and sleeps inside, but is happy to be outside during the day.
Medical notes
Pixie’s medical history:
Pixie has no notable medical history. She is a healthy and active, two-year-old. Pixie is vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, and treated for fleas, ticks, heartworm and intestinal worms.
