About Gus
Gus’s personality:
Gus loves everyone he meets !! He is super friendly, playful and energetic - he loves attention and hanging out with his K9 buddy’s. He is a quick learner and has good recall.
Gus’s ideal forever home:
Gus would suit a young family and is fantastic with kids. He will need a K9 buddy to hang out with and who can match his energy level. And as with all of our rescue doggies, will need to be in indoor doggy - although, he still needs a little toilet training.
Gus’s story:
Gus was left at a rural property with five other doggies when his owner was forced to leave the home. He spent two weeks there, with no one at home but luckily had a very kind neighbour coming and checking him and feeding him. He has been in a wonderful foster home, since coming into our care.
More about Gus:
From his foster mum: Gus loves EVERY person and every dog he meets!! He gets on really well with other dogs and is very submissive. He loves toys and a good bone...he loves food and tends to be a little bit of a guts. He is very smart and learns things quickly and has started to learn to bring back the toy when you throw it for him. He is still learning to like the lead, but loves going for walks in our paddock and comes back when called.
He would LOVE to be an inside dog, but still needs a little toilet training. This has already improved since being neutered and living with us. He copes well being outside as long as he has another doggy with him but if he his outside on his own, he tends to cry and want to come inside.
All in all, he is such a loveable boy and just wants to be near you as much as possible.
Medical notes
Gus’s medical history:
We do not know anything of Gus’s previous medical history but he is only a young dog and came to us in good health. Gus is now desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas, ticks, heartworm and intestinal worms.
