ABOUT CHESTNUT

Chestnut came into care with his siblings and friends from a hoarding raid. He was very scared, covered in fleas and had ringworm. Fast forward 2 months and now he is learning to trust in humans (particularly if you have food), healthy, flea free and cleared of ringworm.

He is an energetic little boy who loves to play and chase toys and eat. He is learning to trust and get affection, but this is helped by motivating him with food. Unfortunately his manners are little lacking and will snatch and chew on your fingers. This is very common with hoarding homes as the food source is limited and they have to almost fight for their food. With positive reminders he should learn what is acceptable. But it will take a patient home to continue his learning..

He also has a habit of chewing on your fingers when you are patting him. He isn't biting hard, but because of this, I would not recommend a home with young children (teenagers should be fine). He is still timid at first, so a quieter home would be best.

He is a sweet boy, who would best suit a family who would love a playful and cheeky boy who will push boundaries (sounds like a teenage boy...lol) but just wants a family who understands his needs and will help him become the best kitty that he can.
