About Possum
Hi! I'm Possum!
I am a favourite among all of my Aunty's (foster carer's) friends and family because of my beautiful colouring and expressive face. To be honest, I've been pretty spoiled and have a little attitude to match - haha.
I was born at my Aunty's house shortly after my mummy was busted out of the pound. My Mum has done such a wonderful job raising me and my brothers alongside my Aunty. We've known nothing but love and it shows. We are healthy, happy, confident boys who love humans and other cats. I am inclined to go straight up to other cats and rub against them, not realising that some cats need time to get to know new kittens, so when they hiss or growl at me I sulk a bit. But I get over it eventually.
My favourite things include attacking Aunty's feet when she has just got out of the shower, complaining at her when I'm not getting my own way, playing with my brothers, climbing and RUNNING! I also like a really good pat and will give you a kiss if I'm so inclined.
My mummy is a Manx and while my brothers have inherited her stumpy tail, I have a full one. But out of all of us, I was the real mummy's boy and took longer to start eating solid food than my brothers did, preferring to nurse and take comfort from mummy for a bit longer. I have also inherited her supersonic speed and am a master at running past you to get in to that room you don't want me to be in at the time!
Mum has already gone to her forever home and now it's time for my brothers and I to find ours! I'd really like one of my brothers (Belly or Flipper) to come with me to my Happily Ever After home so we can be together forever. I've also been getting to know my foster sisters Tara, Gemma and Fish, and I think they would be OK to live with as well- or even another friendly cat who will let me play with and rub against them to show them I love them. I haven't really interacted with a dog yet, but being so young I should adjust pretty well to a friendly doggo housemate.
I have never been outside and don't think that would be very safe for me unless I had a secure, shaded outdoor enclosure to play in sometimes. I'm far too precious to risk getting hurt outdoors!
