Colby is an absolute sweetheart. He loves to be included in the family and enjoys every moment of being with you. He’s a happy boy that’s a pleasure to be around.

Colby is a sweetheart! He’s gentle, placid and loyal. He has a cheeky side to him but mostly he just wants to be around you and loves to please.

EXERCISE: Very high energy, Colby was going on 12km walks with his foster carer daily during the lockdown. Colby would appreciate LOTS OF LAND. Where he can run around and patrol. Once he’s burnt off his steam he’s happy to just be with you and cuddle up on the couch or his bed. He’s a generally quiet dog and once he's had his exercise he’s quite placid.

TRAINING: Colby is very intelligent and picks up commands quickly. Further training would benefit him, he’s treat motivated and loves to please.

CHILDREN: fine with children and very gentle in nature. Not to be left alone with very young kids.

OTHER DOGS: Colby has been fine with other dogs, on walks, he rarely barks back but can sometimes bark if he’s provoked. Once on a walk with his foster carer, there was a loose dog with no owner, this dog went to bite the fosters carer and Colby protected her by pining that dog to the floor. Sweet with other dogs and really enjoys them.

CATS: Fine with cats, both foster homes had cats and Colby has no issues at all.

• A home with a very large yard, this is a working dog breed and he is high energy.
