About Nina
A classic couch potato, this sweet brindle beauty is ready to move in with you !
Nina enjoys a solid routine of snoozing, a twice a day sniffari and plenty of scritches.
At heart, Nina is a homebody looking for a quiet, cruisy household , away from the hustle and bustle of city-life. Nina isn’t a fan of busy cafes and would rather just curl up on the couch with you.
Don’t judge this snoot by it's cover, on first impression, Nina can come across as shy, but love, patience, time and treats are the keys to winning this girl’s heart. Once Nina unpacks her suitcase and feels more at ease, she’ll dish out love and snugs tenfold. Nina is still building confidence in the world and sometimes loud noises are startling – sorry no thrash metal for this petal. She will require continued socialisation and positive reassurance to navigate pet-life.
Nina is also the holder of the most gorgeous velvet-soft ears that sit upon her head like ear-hats. Nina emits a deep, satisfying groan when they’re scritched. She is most content lounging upside down or snoot- first in her toy basket.
Nina will make you smile with her goofy antics, including tossing toys up in the air and her happy windmill tail !
Nina would love to have a confident male hound sidekick and sniffari-buddy ,and humans who are content for her to continue to be a couch cutie.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
