Roper is small but mighty - heās chatty, sassy, and intelligent.
He is seeking a home with an experienced dog owner, bonus points if you have previous experience with huskies and have a playful resident dog.
Roper can sit, shake, is toilet trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He will bring his toys to you or the resident dog when he wants to play tug, it is very cute.
He is a little nervous of new people, new dogs and new surroundings. He barks initially but does warm up quickly. He shows no signs of reactivity to dogs when meeting them but will back away and ignore them.
For those interested in adopting this beautiful boy, there is something you should know - his favourite past time is barking! He barks for attention, to initiate play with the resident dog, when he is nervous and when he hears something new to him. It has significantly decreased as he has adjusted to new noises and people at his foster home but he requires a dedicated owner to take him out and about, be patient with the barking and show him there is nothing to worry about.
Due to his barking, he would not be suited to apartments, units, townhouses or those working full time. Someone home most of the time would work best for him as he likes to follow you everywhere, including to the bathroom, where he will lay at your feet!
He can be rough when he is overexcited so would not suit a home with children under 16.
