About Lily
Lovable lady Lily is a 7-year-old old sweetheart on the lookout for a forever home to call her very own.
After a few days feeling a bit unsure about her new life, Lily quickly settled in and each day her personality shines more and more.
Lily is a big fan of squeaky toys and hanging out with her greyhound foster brother. Quirk alert: Lily also has a penchant for shoes. Luckily, instead of destroying them, she prefers to nest them in bed with her.
She can be a little anxious when left home alone, so would prefer a forever home with a calm and friendly greyhound for company. She has had limited interaction with other breeds but would potentially be okay with another medium/large dog (pending an introduction). If Lily is to be an only dog, she needs a home where her humans are around most of the time for company.
Lily gets super excited for walks and can sometimes pull. She is learning loose-leash walking and we have some resources to help her new home continue this training with her. She can be easily distracted by other dogs but is not reactive towards them.
Lily has great house manners, is toilet trained, and picking up basic commands like ‘drop it’, ‘wait’, ‘stay’. She’s not an expert yet, but she’s keen to keep learning. Lily is currently living happily in an apartment, but she does enjoy her playtime. She needs a home with some outdoor space. A courtyard, terrace or large balcony is fine. A yard would be a real bonus.
Lily is a bit too boisterous for a home with toddlers or younger children. A home with children of teenage years +, or adults only would suit Lily best.

a) What your work/social commitments will look like as we approach a ‘Covid-normal’
b) The time and financial commitments of adopting a forever greyhound
Please no applications from:
• Homes with no outdoor space/only a small balcony
• Home with small dogs, cats, or pocket pets
• Homes with children under 12 years
Adoption details
1) Please email adopt@amazinggreys.com.au
2) We will send you our adoption inquiry form so we can learn more about you, your family and lifestyle.
3) Amazing Greys conducts a house check and introduces you to a greyhound we think matches your family and lifestyle
4) If we both agree that the greyhound is a good fit for your family, he/she goes on a 3- 4 week trial with you
5) After a successful trial period, the greyhound moves in permanently with your family.
We will keep in touch with you throughout the process and help you and your greyhound settle in.
