About Biff ~ 4yr Old Cattle Dog
Biff is back! With a few changes to his dream home… This special boy is a 4yo blue cattle and he is also a three-legged superstar. He LOVES people and attention, and just wants to be next to you all the time.
Because Biff loves his people, he will need to be well and truly part of a family, allowed inside when his people are home, and enjoying an active lifestyle. He has weight to lose (let’s blame covid) and will need owners who can help him with this as it is important for his quality of life as a three-legged boy.
Biff has some key training down pat. He knows to sit, lay down, wait for food and wait to come inside, is crate trained (he knows what ‘bedtime’ means and will happily sleep until morning), and walks well on a lead (with a harness, and still a bit more training to go). He is fine meeting dogs on the lead and outside the home.
Biff is a typical blue cattle for those familiar with the breed, and in his case with that comes a bit of anxiety. Biff can be reactive to noise including cars, motorbikes, and noises within the house. He can also be a bit territorial around the house and yard. For this reason he would be best suited as an only dog in a quiet home while he works on this.
Biff loves to chase birds in the yard or on walks, and is learning to play fetch – he brings the ball back most of the time! He has energy to burn and needs regular exercise and enrichment to ensure he is at his best around the house.
Biff adores people, but because he gets so excited, he can mouth a bit (although his current carers have not seen this). He may be better suited to a couple whose kids have left home or with teenage kids.
Biff has not been exposed to cats.
Biff is located in the Kurri Kurri area NSW (west of Newcastle NSW). For more information on Biff contact Jenn at drn.jenn@gmail.com or fill out the adoption form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Biff’s adoption fee is $450, he is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated, and he is up to date with all worming and flea treatment. He comes with all paperwork.
