💜🌈 MEET EMMA 🌈💜
Hi, I’m Emma! I came into foster care quite some time ago after the birth of my 4 beautiful kittens on a farm. Since then, I’ve built up confidence with my foster parents and other humans, and have now blossomed into the sweetest and quirkiest young lady you’ll ever meet. I pride myself as my foster mum’s favourite foster ever and we have been taking our time searching for the perfect human to take me home ☺️
Nature
I am the sweetest and one of the most affectionate cats you’ll ever meet. Though I am shy and get stressed in new environments, it won’t take long before I start rubbing all over you and cuddling with you. I love being with humans and just chilling in my foster mum’s lap or cuddling in bed. While my foster mum studies for her exams, I keep her company and offer stress-relief by climbing into her lap, purring away, rubbing myself against her and giving love-nibbles.
My favourite places to be petted are my head and bum😹 If you are lucky, I sometimes even show affection to guests, and will rub against you asking for pats. I also love sunbathing on the windowsill and window bed.
My nickname at home is Mami, because I first arrived with my kittens and the name has stuck ever since – I do respond to it! I am quite a playful girl, I love playing with toys and batting things around. My foster mum often catches me trying to catch my own tail, I do look so silly.
I do get a little stressed at times and I've been known to have little 'accidents' when this happens. My foster parents are not entirely sure what stresses me out – it may be the scent of other cats in the house, or that I need many litter trays to pick and choose from. I also like to steal all my housemates’ food, both feline or human (hehe…), so my foster Mum feeds me and lets me sleep at night in my own room.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I am a gentle girl so I could do well with a child as long as my space is respected. I have met children before and I sure appreciate the attention and cuddles. I also enjoy the company of my feline foster brother’s, so much that we often share a bed by the window and I help lick him clean, though when he gets too rough with me I tell him to back off with my hiss.
I have met dogs before and didn’t mind them, although I had quite a traumatising experience with one. But, I think I could still live with a gentle cat-savvy doggo, with slow introductions of course.
Likes / Dislikes
I LOVE food. Need I say more? My favourite treats are boiled chicken and any wet treat. I will gobble everything up and WILL get into any food that I can get into. So much so that my foster mum has been finding it a real challenge to help me to lose weight, and has devised running games and puzzles to keep me entertained and active. Can you believe, I’ve gained almost 20% of my weight since I first arrived in foster care, I sure am living a good life.
I love having company and cuddling – the more familiar I am with you, the more I will like your pats. As for dislikes, I’m not sure? Maybe if you don’t feed me on time?! 😹
My PURR-fect home would be one that allows me time to settle in and build trust, and that is patient and understanding with me and my habits.
