Garielle was a big scaredy cat but her confidence and courage in the world is increasing every day. She still loves to spend a lot of her days in her cosy igloo or other little hidey-holes but will come out for food and a stroll around the house when it suits her. Late in the afternoon and evening she is often in the mood to play - her favourite toys are toilet rolls, a piece of string and a “mousey.”
Garielle is really gentle, sweet and clean and is happy just being in the same space as a human. She will let you pick up her igloo and loves being patted while snuggling up cosy inside - she’ll purr and lick your hand to death to show you how much she loves it. Sometimes she’ll sit quietly next to you waiting for you to notice and lean over for a pat. She is quiet and doesn't really have a strong “meow” - it's like she has laryngitis from not using her voice, but it is getting better and a little louder all the time.
Also, she won’t let you pick her up yet without being inside her cat house - but I think one day she will. She does not like loud noises, quick movements or being too exposed out in the open, especially with strangers. She needs a quick escape back to her safe house and her own space. She would suit a quiet, loving and patient house with a single person or a couple, who are happy for her to be an indoor cat and develop in her own time.
