On Hold
About Fera ~ 10 week old (On Trial 21/03/21)
Fera, at 10 weeks old, is the smallest of her siblings but what she lacks in size she makes up in personality. Fera is an adventurous and fiery girl, with boundless energy and a knack for climbing.
Fera is still shy among people and will need an experienced family to help her grow her confidence. All kids in the home will need to be cat savvy and 13+.
Fera means beast in Portuguese, and this name perfectly captures this little girls attitude. Fera loves nothing more than play and has displayed immense confidence in a new environment. Feras bravery is astounding as she had no contact with people prior to January 8th, with the right family she will blossom into a confident happy cat.
Fera will need some additional attention to develope her trust in people. She will also need some scratchers and vertical space as she loves to climb. Without proper furniture to climb Fera will make do with curtains and other fabric wall hangings or blankets. Fera will also need to be kept away from any packaged foods or the kitchen in general as she still thinks she needs to scavenge for her food and will steal or chew through packaging. Fera can be food aggressive when she really wants what she has, regular feedings have not been an issue but she will go through your garbage looking for scraps.
Fera is litter trained. She has not been exposed to dogs and must be an inside only girl. We feel having another cat for company would be a bonus but not essential if someone is home more often than not.
Fera is located in Maitland and patiently waiting for her forever home. Her adoption fee is $250 which covers flea and worming treatments while in care, her fist kitten vaccination, microchip and desexing post adoption at a local DRN approved vet.
Please Note: Fera can only be adopted in the Newcastle, Central Coast or Hunter area as will need desexing before she is 4 months old with a local DRN approved vet.
