About Shelby
Shelby is a sweet and cuddly puppy. She is super friendly, very playful and very intelligent - she rules the roost over her big boy buddy, Alfie.
Shelby’s ideal forever home:
Shelby would suit a young family and is fantastic with kids. She loves company and snuggling. She will need the usual ongoing training that young doggies need, so her family will need the time and the patients to provide this for her.
Shelby’s story:
Shelby was left at a rural property with five other doggies, after their owner was forced to leave the property and unable to return. Shelby was left outside and alone for two weeks, while a neighbour visited daily to feed and to check on the doggies. We were notified of the doggies situation and all six of them were surrendered to us for rehoming.
Shelby’s medical history:
We do not know of Shelby’s medical history prior to coming into our care. She arrived with us a little bit underweight but otherwise, healthy and happy. She has now been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal worms.

More about Shelby:
Shelby is a super sweet girl. She has some sass and likes to boss Alfie around. He is too gentle to teach her that she needs to respect her elders. So, if Shelby is to go to another home with a K9 buddy, they will need to be tolerant and prepared to show her the ropes. She is not mean in any way, just a boisterous and slightly bossy pup.
Shelby absolutely loves affection and to cuddle up on your lap (as you can see in her pics). She will need to be an indoor dog and be included in family activities and outings. She is great with other doggies that she meets and is well socialised. She grew up around Alfie, a large Mastiff X male, and 4 little doggies.
We are uncertain of what breed Shelby has been crossed with, but she will most likely be a large doggy when fully grown. Shelby’s adoption fee is $400. If this little girl melts your heart and are can give her a wonderfully loving and committed home, then please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire and hit submit! Thank you :-)
