Peigi - Located in Albert Park

Peigi is one super-charismatic & resilient, Caliby cat. She was recently surrendered to allow her pensioner guardian to retire to her European homeland. But Peigi has so much love to give, that despite this upheaval and loss, she has continued to exude enormous trust and affection. Never before has her (experienced) foster-Mum seen a new foster emerge, purring, from it's carrier! And what a therapeutic purr it is: open-mouthed on the exhale, causing the sound to be amplified and producing an expression of pure bliss.

While likely of mixed breed, Peigi exhibits several distinctively Manx characteristics: a smooth, dense, double coat (she loves a brush each day, which reduces shedding); an unusually short tail; longer hind legs; and she is extremely sociable with humans within a short period of acquaintance - but doesn't approach strangers.

Her determination and cleverness made Peigi the long-reigning matriarch of her suburban colony, where she lovingly mothered a few litters before being de-sexed in 2015. However, her confident sense of self-worth has reportedly led Peigi to exhibit dominance over other family companions in the past, so a home without other pets would likely be preferable. This said, she has not generated any conflict in her current foster-home, shared with three cats & two dogs, but may well become (deservingly) dominant on her own territory over time.

While Peigi clearly enjoys being indoors, and should be kept safely indoors overnight, the stimulation of nature still has its attractions, so access to a small garden would be ideal. Given her maturity and past-life, Peigi isn't likely to enjoy boisterous children. She deserves a calm, dignified 'second' life, free of hardship and stress, where she will enhance the happiness of any equally loving human (or family).

- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
