Dear little Benji. We wonder what happened to him. He is very nervous and anxious. He will need a VERY patient and kind person , someone willing to take time and not have high expectations on him , someone with previous experience with nervous dogs. You should add this in your application ( this is a requirement).
Benji is great with cats and likes to play with them, he is good with dogs, but happy to be the only dog. He’s not great with harnesses but walks well on the lead. Perhaps not suited to an apartment and needs some work in his toilet training , and unless you are an exceptionally calm kind and patient person then these things might be challenging. It’s very important to add this into your application, we simply can’t call everyone, so only those who address benjis needs will contacted .
As you can tell we will need you to add a lot of information into your application. Toy poodles get lots of applications , but only those that look like a good match will get a phone interview.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
