Looking for a snuggle buddy and a couch companion? Look no further than Sarah!
Sarah came into care with her little babies, but they’ve all grown up and moved into their forever homes so it’s time for Sarah to do the same. She’s an affectionate cat who actually likes a bit of a cuddle, when you pick her up, she will happily melt into your cradled arms.
Being a reasonably confident cat that isn’t phased by much, Sarah will stand guard at the door when the vacuum cleaner comes out. Sarah has also taken her persona of parent to heart and likes to ‘protect’ the other cats in care and comes running if anyone sounds any distress (like maybe they haven’t been fed in the last 5 minutes and want to complain about it?).
Being at least a medium haired cat, Sarah will need regular brushing to keep her coat in tip top shape. Sarah doesn’t mind a brush so has likely been taught this is a regular thing from young and shouldn’t fight you about it, but you will need to make sure it’s taken care of at least once a week. Without keeping up her grooming Sarah may end up with knots that require shaving off and could cause damage to her skin so it’s important to take her grooming into consideration when you’re deciding if she is the girl for you.
Sarah has settled into the household with other cats quickly, she would be ok with a feline furr-end with the correct introduction. She's happy to nap next to the other cats and even the dog, although as soon as the dog makes any noises she doesn’t really like that much. She would likely be OK with a canine companion if they were a quieter, less energetic type but again, a proper introduction is key here.
Sarah can often be found napping the day away on the back of the couch, stretched out on one of the beds, on any of the rugs, at a doorway, curled into boxes, okay so you get the picture she’s an excellent napper. She does like to have company nearby but doesn’t need constant interaction.
Sarah has exemplary litterbox etiquette and we have had zero accidents in care.
Located: Mansfield 4122
OK with cats.
Tolerates dogs when they are quiet and not rambunctious.
Untested with children, would likely be ok with calm children who would give her appropriate space.
Wormed, flea and parasite treated, vaccinated and microchipped.
Sarah’s desexing is scheduled for the 16th February and won’t be able to leave for her furr-ever home until after this date. Although she can’t leave yet, she is still available for meet and greets and adoption requests are accepted so don’t let that stop you
