About Blackie
Are you looking for a loyal sidekick with a touch of goofiness? Look no further than Blackie. A Greyhound born on 10th July, 2017, Blackie is looking forward to finding his forever home.
Blackie has a friendly nature and in typical Greyhound style, he is a gentle boy who loves meeting new people. He has quite the personality and will always keep you smiling with his goofy antics!
He loves to be out for a walk and of course has perfect lead manners and would never dream of pulling you along. Blackie does not require long walks or runs and he is happy for a stroll around the neighbourhood and then to help you potter around in the garden, soak up the rays or snuggle up for a bit of tv - making him the perfect fit for most family dynamics or a retiree.
Blackie has met some of the other dogs here at the facility and he does not seem overly interested in them - he is happy to hang with you. Blackie is however an ex racing dog and we would recommend that he not be rehomed with cats or pocket pets in residence as he may chase them.
He does not show any signs of seperation anxiety or food aggression and although he does not seem to be bothered by loud noises, we would recommend he be allowed inside during thunder storms and fireworks where he knows he is safe. There is no need to worry about any accidents in the home when Blackie is enjoying inside family time as he is house trained.
Blackie is such a happy and affectionate guy, who would make a super loyal and perfect companion for the right family. He would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family and involved in the day to day activities. Blackie will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Blackie's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration, and 3 x training lessons with thanks to Wyong Dog Training. He is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please give the facility a call on 43044350 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once all of your questions have been answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in. Please bring to your appointment photos of your fencing also showing all gates that attach to the house.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
