About Bandit ~ 7yo Cattle Dog x Kelpie~ On Trial 25/2/21
Are you looking for a running buddy? Meet Bandit. He is a 7yo cattle x kelpie, but don’t be put off by his age, this boy is very much full of beans and ready for an active home!
Bandit is a typical friendly cattle who loves his people! He is currently an outside dog but we would like him to be welcomed inside with his new family. He would love as much love and attention as he can get.
Those familiar with working breeds will know they can be a little anxious. Bandit needs secure colourbond fencing as sometimes during a storm he will look for a way out of his yard, using something to jump on and help him over the fence or a gap to push through. Sometimes due to boredom he will take himself off for trips in the neighbourhood too. Providing him with a safe space during storms, and regular exercise and stimulation, will help this a lot.
Bandit currently lives with another dog so may benefit from dog company. He will need someone to work with him with walking on a lead and a good walking harness to help reduce pulling. Sometimes other dogs can be all a bit too exciting as well and he can be a bit vocal. When running however, he is quite focused on his task so would be a great companion.
Bandit lives with young children now and is very gentle with them. He is not suited to cats or any small animals- they look a bit too tasty!
If you love the outdoors and are looking for a companion to share your adventures, then Bandit is your man! If you think Bandit is your perfect match, you can contact Jenn at drn.jenn@gmail.com
