About Luc
Hi I’m Luc aka Gizmo to my foster mum, and I am 6 years old and a needy pants!
My foster mum says that I am one of the most happy and affectionate pups to her when I want.
My foster mum said that I’m an awesome cuddle buddy who is happy to chill when it’s quiet time and I love to play when it’s play time! (Except when you’re on the bed saying good night to the ‘small humans’ then I am a huge help jumping around and wanting to give goodnight kisses!
I love walks but as I only have small legs it’s definitely a stroll at my place (so sometimes fast other times a snail pace)
I came into care and Paw Prints made sure that my teeth were taken care of – I had a few (12) out! Which is great for me because now I can eat heaps of different things – I do like to graze through the day and night
I am a needy pants, not going to lie, I loooove human company. My ideal home will be someone who is at home working, or who can take me places with them as much as possible - pls bare in mind my foster mum will be looking for someone who wants to make me very much a part of their life – but I am not a fan of being picked up heaps and it does make me stressed so I’m looking for a home that will allow me to have cuddles when I want, sit on your lap when I want but not be picked up and hugged unless I ask (please)
Kids don’t bother me I do love to jump up on the couch and get cuddles but I do not want to be picked up by them (I know I know I have already said that in my bio above but it’s super important – it stresses me out) so that is something that the rescue will be definitely making sure my new family understands.
I’m looking for a person who can plan time daily for chest scratches – it’s super important and something I will need to remind you of if you forget!
I love to go outside when I want to investigate the back yard and then come back inside to watch TV – my life is pretty complicated that way! I did have a few toilet accidents when I came into care but I’ve now worked out where the backyard is etc. and I’m doing really well and no more accidents.
I am currently in foster care with a big, big fur sister and she is great – she is not in my face and she does her thing and I do mine – I am not a fan of dogs that are going to jump on me, or want to be constantly sniffing my butt! I’m not old but I like a calm life.
I have a coat that does require grooming. I have already had a couple of professional grooms which didn’t faze me at all. The groomer did tell my foster mum that I need to continue going to a groomer so that my coat stays looking good & not matted so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Sunday 31st January 2021 at 5.30pm

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
