About 3534 - Miranda
🌿🌹 INTRODUCING MIRANDA 🌹🌿
Nature
Hi, I’m Miranda and I am a very shy girl who had a rough start to life. At approximately 7 months old I had a litter of kittens. Sadly, I had no milk for them so we had to be separated so that they could be looked after safely. I don’t think that I had any contact with humans until I was rescued and came into foster care.
I have been in care for a few months now, but I still don’t really like to be touched just yet and I usually give my foster mum a warning hiss when she tries to touch me. Although I don’t mind a scratch with the back scratcher (after a little initial hissing!) when I’m feeling safe and secure in my crate. I will need you to be patient with me while I settle into my new surroundings. It can be very overwhelming, so a nice quiet place like a spare room to settle in the beginning would be awesome.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’m not a huge fan of young children; they can be a bit loud for me, but I would be fine with older children who can understand that I need my space and can read my cues when I need time out. I haven’t met any dogs in my foster home, but I really love other cats. I have shared my room with older kittens and foster Mum says I was very good with them. I would love a friendly companion in my new home; this would help to show me that humans can be kind and I can learn to trust them. With a slow introduction I’m sure I would get along well with most friendly cats.
Likes / Dislikes
I love all types of wet food, and I will take chicken gently from my foster Mum’s hand. I’m not a fan of cat biscuits of any variety, but gee do I love wet food, it’s like my catnip! 😹 Every night I plan careful stealth raids through the house in search of cats bowls in the hope of finding extra morsels. I definitely don’t like to be handled at present.
I like to play on my own and I don’t like those interactive toys, but any soft toys are great – ⚠️warning: I love to pull out the stuffing! I’m a very good girl with my litter tray (we use Breeders Choice litter, but any recycled paper litter will be fine).
My PURR-fect home would be with a quiet family with older children and a friendly kitty to help me on my trust journey. I will need a family that is willing to be patient with me as it might take me a while to feel safe in a new home.
