About Beethoven
Meet Beethoven
This giant barrel of perfection is 12weeks old and 16kgs already.
Sweet and sensitive Beethoven can be a tiny bit shy to begin with but his confidence is growing everyday in care. With his confidence growing he can be a a little rough at times
He does a lot of excited and nervous weeing but that is improving every single day.
Beethoven is currently learning to walk on a leash and is doing well however will need lots of them ongoing encouragement. Beethoven is being crate trained and is coming along well with this training.
Puppy school and training is a MUST this guy may get to 60-70kgs fully grown he needs lots of training to ensure he is the best boy he can be.
Beethoven loves nothing more then to snuggle humans and considers himself a lapdog. He loves adults and kids equally! Due to his size if you have kids early training is essential as he can easily knock a child over because of his huge size. He doesn’t know his size or strength he is a giant dopey boy.
Beethoven loves toys and playing tug of war with his foster sisters.
This guy doesn’t cope well in the heat and needs a home that will allow him to be an indoor/outdoor dog. On any hot days he needs to be indoors
During the hot days he will need access to aircon as he really struggles in heat.
Neat freaks need not apply! If drool, slobber and grunting grosses you out this handsome guy is not the guy for you.
Mastiffs have a number of what some consider offensive habits: slobbering, drooling, wheezing, grunting, snorting, and flatulence ??
Beethoven has been around other dogs and is friendly and respectful around them and has also been around cats in foster care. Beethoven is nervous meeting new dogs so this needs to be done slowly and calmly he is NOT suitable for dog parks.
It is extremely important that Beethoven has a premium diet to ensure he grows well and a family that will ensure he does not become overweight as this can dramatically reduce his life span.
He is currently on ivory coat kibble and raw ideally we’d love him to go to a family willing to continue raw feeding.
Beethoven is an expensive dog to feed and own this is something you need to take into consideration. Everything will be more expensive due to his size.
We are ideally looking for a home with giant breed experience but that’s not essential if you can demonstrate your research and commitment
Deal breakers
* Beethoven is not a yard dog. He is a part of the family do not apply if you want a outdoor only dog.
* Beethoven is not ideal for first time dog owners
* Must be financially stable as he is an expensive dog to feed and maintain.
