Hi, I’m Roo. I had an accident and came into foster care with my right back leg amputated. It’s all healed now and I feel great! I really don’t notice that I’m a tri-paw and I get overwhelmed by all the extra attention.

I’d really like someone to look after me who makes me feel safe and secure, someone who I can take my leadership from as I learn to navigate the world. Right now a lot of things are new to me, like toys and playing, and even the cat! I’m a quick learner and have already learnt sit, drop, stay and shake!! I’m toilet-trained too but I really hate when it rains as I don’t like getting my feet wet (foster Mum has fake grass undercover for times like these).

We have been out for walks which is fun except if we see another dog, they scare me and I bark and try to run away. It’s best if I could go for walks early in the morning or later in the evening when there aren’t any dogs around until I gain more confidence in the world.

I don’t need very high fences because I can’t jump so 4-5 ft would be fine. You can’t have stairs at home because I’m a tri-paw.

My favourite thing to do is be with people, I like watching TV on the couch and want to be
wherever my people are. I love pats and belly rubs. When it’s bed time I sleep in my crate in my foster Mum's bedroom and stay in there all night until the morning.
