About Carol and Sharon
Sharon and Carol are two lovely older girls, that came to us from the pound. They are over 6 years of age, and you can tell they've been well loved bunnies. However, as most people following us will know, desexing female bunnies is especially important for their health, because a large portion of does over 3 years of age will develop reproductive cancer if left intact. Sadly, this is the case for both Carol and Sharon. They didn't come to rescue in time, and upon desexing, the vet discovered their cancer has spread to be beyond treatable. You can't tell, just by looking at them. They seem happy and healthy, loving their lives. Sharon and Carol are looking for a palliative care home. We don't know how long they will have, but while they are happy, they should be able to continue living their lives.
These girls are so sweet. They arrived to us before Christmas, and immediately settled in. They are super well adjusted, confident, easy-going buns. They absolutely adore each other. I don't believe I've ever encountered two bunnies that are more bonded, these girls are pretty inseparable, and will go everywhere together. Every time I look one will be grooming the other. They flop and intertwine together, it's so gorgeous just watching them. They love to free range, and leave a door open, and Carol will usually be the first to take advantage! They are very well behaved and will hop back to bed when asked (or for the promise of treats). These lovely ladies are great to handle, cuddly, and affectionate. They need a very special home together, where they will get spoilt with love!
