Medical notes
Sam is quite deaf which we believe is age related. He has arthritis in his back legs which is common in senior dogs. He has been given meloxicam as an anti inflamatory and analgesic for his back legs and has green lipped mussels added to his meals to assist in his arthritis management. He has quite a few lumps - mainly fatty cysts however there is one lump that is larger. Due to his age there are risks involved in going under anaesthetic so our vet has advised against unnecessary removal at this stage. This may change in future as he gets older . His new family will need to commit to managing his deafness and senior ailments
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
