Henry

I'm Henry and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

The first thing you need to know about me is that I am a very very timid boy who needs a very quiet home with no children and a family who'll help me realise that the world isn't a scary place.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• No young children as I'm easily frightened so I need a nice quiet home to grow in confidence

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock - they scare me.

My best features:
• LOVE people, once I've had time to get to know you
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Gentle & placid
• I walk well on lead, although I need to be encouraged when going to new places or if I'm startled by something

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHELTER TO MEET HENRY IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET HENRY BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
