About Taffi (Princess Taffi)
Hidie Ho There human friends!!
My name is Taffi, Princess Taffi cuz I think I am. š
I am a beautiful fawn female greyhound who turn 4 years old in March 2021, and I currently live with my two foster parents as an only dog.
I never raced, and didnāt train as a race dog either, instead growing up in my trainers back yard with the family because I broke my back leg when I was a puppy ( I like to think Iām invincible!). So, After some surgery I healed but decided to take the retired life instead. So I discussed it with my wonderful trainer and my family and decided that I was ready to go out into the big world on my own and find my new family. So here I am! and I AM READY! š
Due to my leg, I walk with a limp sometimes, and have an odd gait. My wonderful vets found that I needed a screw removed and a spur taken off the bone. So I put my brave girl pants on and got my leg fixed up. I healed really well but I still required a bit of physio from my foster Mum (which is pretty nice!) to ensure the healing process was as smooth as it could be. I will forever have lameness on this leg, but at this time it causes me no issues, my bone is strong and all my fur has grown back!!
Despite the above, I do love a good zoomie. Multiple times a day I will do zoomies in my back yard, which is a good size so I canāt get too much speed. I have worn a track at the turning points, and sometimes when I get really silly I dig speedy holes with my front legs before zooming off again.
Later I put my soft toys in the holes, which makes my foster parents think I am a bit weird. I do love plush toys, I rarely destroy them, and I know not to steal other items around the house.
I wait at doorways even when you forget to ask me and will only enter behind you when you ask. Princesses are elegant, and thatās me!
I also donāt go past the blue line on the floor into the kitchen because I know the kitchen is not for dogs. I love all human food, especially cake when in childrenās hands, but can be picky with my own food. I prefer chicken! Thatās the best stuff!
I sleep in the hallway outside my foster parents bedroom, when they are looking I will sometimes sneak into the bedroom too!
When I am left home alone I am in the back yard, and I am happiest here, and can be here for the entire day. When I have had to stay with other people I bark when I am left alone, mainly because I have to know what is going on, not because I am anxious. Im a princess, you cant leave me out of the family fun!
Once I am in a routine and know what to expect the barking stops ā unless you shout at me ā then I will bark more, cuz thatās what I think you are doing so we ābarkā together! Ha!
So, expect some barking when I first move in.
I really prefer my own company and a human, I prefer to be the queen of my castle. I am not that interested in being friends with other dogs. I much rather the company of a human, they are much more interesting. Anyway, I believe I am a reincarnated princess, I am independent and just like things my way. Plus I like all the attention and doting on me. I have been around other dogs and pick and choose my friends. I am well and truly an only dog. I am just a lady who likes my things my way, and I donāt want another dog coming along to change this.
I do however have to wear my muzzle when walking in public but I donāt mind at all. So please donāt let that bother you.
I Overall I am a beautiful soul and am just looking for the right person or family to understand me and give me the home I need.
Could that be you?
If you would like to meet me, I would LOVE to meet you; people are just the best. I promise you I wonāt disappoint!!
Cant wait to see you!
Luv Miss Princess Taffi (Stephy)š¹ā¤ļø
