About Eloise ~ 3 m/o kitten (on trial 27/1/21)
Meet Eloise! She’s not biologically related to the rest of our “Bridgerton” themed litter, but she certainly looks the part.
Beautiful Eloise’s stunning markings are sometimes known as “Torbie” or, Tortoiseshell Tabby, this is because of her amazing ginger markings.
Just like her namesake, Eloise is endearing, intelligent and independent. Perhaps unlike her namesake, this little kitten is snuggly as can be. Completely people focused, she laps up affection and attention. A total smoocher and a purr machine.
She would really benefit from having at least one person home with her most of the time - as she’s a sweet cuddly girl who craves attention. She would do well in a family environment.
Eloise loves to play, but she is calmer than most kittens. It’s likely she had to grow up very fast in her early days. She would be a suitable pet for a smaller house or apartment, because she doesn’t seem to want to run laps wildly.
She’s a bit of a talker... emitting cute little squeaks to get your attention.
She will follow you around all day, squeaking, purring and rubbing against you. She’ll make a wonderful companion. We’re sure she would love to sleep in your bed with you if she was allowed.
Eloise complains a little when you pick her up - and would probably prefer not to be constantly picked up and put down all day - but she’ll happily sit in your arms for a snuggle.
Eloise is in a foster home with 3 slightly younger kittens. While she is living harmoniously with them - she’s not much of a fan. She’s gentle and doesn’t attack, but she hisses if they get too close for her liking.
Eloise has lived with large number of cats in the past, so she’s certainly used to them. The most recent home she was staying in had four other cats. But, in her birth home,
resources were scarce and she had to compete with other cats for food and water.
Applicants who have an existing cat, will have to be committed to introducing Eloise properly and patiently - so she can learn there is plenty of food, toys and love to go around. Ideally, any existing cat would be a calm, friendly male.
There are two dogs living in Eloise’s foster home, but she hasn’t been introduced. Considering her reaction to other cats, this may take some time. It’s likely she would be very afraid of a dog.
Eloise would be fine in a home with gentle, respectful children, who do not handle her roughly.
She will be ready for her new home from 1 February 2021, after her desexing procedure and is available for adoption to an indoor only home. As she will be desexed, she is available to be adopted outside of the local area who are willing to travel for a meet and greet.
Eloise’s adoption fee is $250. This covers her flea and worming treatment, microchipping, desexing and first vaccination prior to adoption.
Eloise is in foster care with her siblings in Waratah West, near the University of Newcastle. If you’re interested in adopting Eloise fill out our cat adoption form: https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
