Lucien

Lucien and his two siblings were dropped off late one night at the shelter. One of the staff took them home for foster care as they were so small. They grew into gorgeous young kittens and were all adopted. Fast forward 15 months, and Lucien was brought into the Animal Care Centre as a stray. He had been seen hanging around the neighbourhood and looked skinny with very deformed ears.

We were able to track down his owner through his microchip, but they were not in a rush to have him back. They had not been letting Lucien inside and his ears were so badly infected that his ear canals were closed over with scarring. After some discussion, Lucien's owners decided to surrender him to the RSPCA so that he could receive the treatment that he needed.

Lucien is a very sweet and loving boy. He is very playful at times, but also snuggly and cuddly. He will need to be kept inside and a close eye kept on his ears to make sure they don't become infected again.
