Please note: Demeter will be rehomed with one of her siblings or another cat for company.
Demeter's my name but to my friends I'm known as 'Mini Chonk'. I'm a bubbly, cuddly, tubby little girl with a meow much smaller than my body who has become accustomed to the finer things in life - warm beds, fluffy blankets, cuddles, toys and last but DEFINTELY not least... snacks... and treats...I like those.
Most of my day I spend napping. I find the warmest, sunniest spot possible and plonk myself down for some well deserved shut eye. Even better if that sunny place happens to coincide with a lap or another furry pal!
I live in a house with lots of other dogs and cats and think it's just the bees knees. There's always someone to chase or snuggle with. I know my new human family won't be able to stay with me all the time so I'd be a super happy little chonk if I could have some furry friends to keep me company (psst... if you're looking for a pair of cats, why not check out one of my sisters, Hera or Athena?)
I have a cat enclosure at my house and boy is it fun! As a keen bird watcher and bug hunter I love running in and out at all hours of the day and night. And on those sunny days I really enjoy sprawling out and taking a nap with my whiskers blowing in the breeze.
A recent discovery and much loved game of mine is running in and out of the shower when it's on. I sit... I wait.... I dash in and around and then pop out the other side! Ta da! Most days I can get in and out with only a splash of water on my toe beans.
I'm well known for my ability to make space when I feel a cuddle coming on so on my 'must have' list for my new family is someone willing to share their couch and their bed... you see sleeping in a cat bed at night time is not really my thing.
So if you're scrolling through online profiles and making a list, here's a little summary to help you out:

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
If you are still interested, please download an application form from our website:

Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
