About Cheeky
This beautiful lady is 6 years young and has a fantastic friendly and affectionate nature. She loves humans of all sizes - she's great with kids as well as adults and will make the most perfect companion for a family, couple or single looking for a canine life-partner. She has no concept of "stranger-danger" and is always up for a pat from whoever is interested when out walking or visiting the local dog-friendly Cafe with her wonderful foster carer.
She really enjoys her walks and adventures, and loves car rides too.
When not out having an adventure, Cheeky loves to snuggle on the couch, or just roach around as greyhounds do! The also has some favourite squeaky toys she loves to toss around and chase - which can be pretty hilarious to watch because, despite their status as "athletes", greys xan be pretty damnes unco 😂
Unlike most doggoes, she is fine if she has to be left home alone for a bit. She doesn't mind her own company, and is very chilled and relaxed, but of course we wouldn't put her in a situation where this would be excessive. Like most of us, she needs to be lived and wants a human or a family who will spend time with her and pay her lots of loving attention. While she doesn't mind other big, relaxed dogs, especially other greyhounds ❤, she is an attention-hog who would rather have her human fam to herself. Her perfect home will be in a single-pet household.
She's fine socialising with other big dogs as long as they are well mannered and respect her space. She really doesn't like small dogs, so while she'll pass them on a walk with no problems, she will never be an "off-leash dog park" gal - but as it is illegal to have your greyhound off-leash in public in our State, this shouldn't be a problem for most people.
Like most ex-racers, she'll never be safe around cats, rabbits or small animals. PLEASE 🙏 don't apply if you have cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs or similar.
She suffered an injury to one of her hind legs while racing, but she has had surgery for that and fully recovered, so she is just fine now and in excellent health.
We're pretty sure the first person to meet Cheeky will fall madly in love with this gentle, loving and sometimes hilarious girl!
Medical notes
Hind leg fracture 2016, had surgery and made a full recovery. Otherwise perfect health record.

About Sunny Days:
Sunny Days Rescue & Rehab is a registered charity, foster care network and private shelter, focusing on the rescue, rehab and rehoming of ‘true stray’ cats - cats who've never had experience with humans or a human home.
The overall objective of our organisation is to:
💕 successfully physically and psychologically rehabilitate terrified cats and find them homes which understand their needs and are compassionate to their history,
💕 remove complete stray cat colonies from the community and ensure they will never breed again or be back on the street again,
💕 provide an example of the potential to rehab unsocialised cats to other organisations who may not have understood or attempted to achieve that potential before,
💕 educate the community on how many stray cats are hiding in the dark corners of community trying to survive and that desexing is the only way to begin to lessen these numbers and the resulting suffering,
💕 provide an opportunity for volunteers to learn animal husbandry and handling skills to a high level which may help them in their future work in animal welfare and as pet owners,
💕 and provide an opportunity for compassionate people to come together and pool their skills for the betterment of a demographic of animal that is mostly ignored and misunderstood despite us humans being their source and the reason they even exist.
While stray cats are our main focus, we also take into care, rehabilitate and rehome ex-racong greyhounds, and any other dogs we find in need, under our banner "Sunny Days Greys"
