About Franklin
Meet Franklin!
Franklin has been described by his foster carer as the perfect little dog. He is a super affectionate fellow who loves nothing more than to cuddle up with you on the chair or sofa. Franklin is always happy to see you when you come home and gives you an excited greeting. He loves his people so much he is often a little shadow following them around the house.
During his time in care, Franklin has been living with 4 other dogs of varying sizes and ages. He is a very social dog who easily gets along with others. Franklin enjoys trips to the dog park or lake more so to adventure around than engaging in play with others. Despite his age, Franklin will require daily exercise to keep him healthy and happy as she is still moderately active. He gets very excited when his lead comes out as he knows what that means. Two shorter walks a day or one substantial walk will do the trick.
Franklin is a well-mannered gentleman. He is mostly house trained (may try to mark initially in a new environment but then settles down), waits patiently while his dinner gets prepared in the evenings, walks nicely on the lead and knows some basic commands. He travels well in the car and is showing to be good off lead. Franklin is really a delight to have around the home. He even likes to help with the gardening as he loves playing in the hose as you try to water the gardening! Franklin is looking for a home with a yard for him to lie in the sun and explore around. Consequently, he is not suitable for unit/apartment living.
We are looking for a home where Franklin will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He would love a home where someone is home more often than not as he loves his human companions. He would also enjoy some doggy companionship with another calm and friendly dog. Franklin should be allowed to be inside with the family and will require a warm comfy bed to sleep on inside at night. He is currently living with a cat so feline friends are fine, but he is untested with other types of pets. Franklin is looking for a home without children or older children (>12yo) only who are dog savvy and not going to pester him too much.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
