Murphy

Hello my name is Murphy, but you can call me Murph. I grew up with 8 brothers so I’m always up for a play and I'm still relatively young at approximately 2 years old so you get the best of both worlds with me, no longer a rascal kitten who needs to learn house manners but I'm also still super playful.

Nothing much phases me for long and I'm just curious about EVERYTHING. I like to know what you're doing or eating or drinking, okay I just like to know everything!
I've also learnt to use the microchip feeder in a few days so I'm also a smart cookie to boot! Maybe if you're keen we can learn some tricks together? I think that would be a fantastic bonding opportunity.

I would love another cat companion since I always had my brothers with me, but I can be a bit forward so make sure you introduce me properly or your feline friend may not take to me. I don’t need to have a cat friend if you or the fam are around a lot, but if I’m going to be by myself for larger spans of time it would be better to have a friend. If you have a canine compatriot, I guess they can share my space, but only if they're respectful and don't get up in my business!

I enjoy lots of chin scritches, nose bops, belly rubs, long back pets, and a bit of roughhousing, so if you have kids we would probably get along. If I ever get a bit too overwhelmed, I will just retreat to a high place (the higher the better am I right??) to take a time out.

Being a regal shorthaired pussycat, I am a little vocal and you will know I’m around because I’m regularly trilling to myself in happiness. You might wonder what the sound is at first or if there’s something wrong with me, but it’s just how I express my happiness and interact with the world.

I will allow you to carry me to a new area if you must, but I don’t like to just be held for long periods of time and will struggle to get away if we stop moving or you are holding me for too long.

I am a perfect gentleman and my foster mum says I have exemplary litter box manners without any accidents.

Cat friendly.
Moderately OK with dogs. Would be OK with a calm/ disinterested dog that doesn't get in Murphy's face.
Untested with children, would likely be quite tolerant with children but may claw or bite if overstimulated. I often roughhouse with him and he is more likely to move away than attack unless he’s really revved up.

Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with parasite prevention.
