About Mischka
Who is looking for a polar bear! Lucky as we have one in stock!
Mischka is a lovely older lady that is looking for a home for her to relax the days away.
Mischka loves her walks and does a steady 2 walks a day (up to an hour is what she can handle) as long as it is the cooler weather. That gorgeous coat makes it a bit hotter for her.
On her walks she has her nose turned on and loves to sniff out the area, especially the kittys, who she doesn’t see as friends.
In true artic style, she likes to have tantrums, if she wants to walk the other way she will ‘freeze’ to share her dissatisfaction in your choice of path. The trick, drop the lead and keep walking, she doesn’t want to me left behind and will quickly catch up.
The excitement when treats are on offer will brighten up anyone’s day! The spin and wiggle is ridiculous. On her walk she loves exploring the boardwalk and smell pigeons roosting under the boardwalk. If she hears them cooing she peers through the wood planks and tilts her head to the side and listens intently. It is the cutest thing to watch.
She has a bestie Labrador she enjoys playing chase and generally gets on with other dogs. She is social but as an older female can display a growl if other dogs get too frisky! She loves the car rides and will happily sit on the back seat. Oh and don’t forget to leave the window open so she can stick her head out, it’s her favourite part.
A typical superstar, she hates it when the paparazzi ( I mean public who we pass in the street) want to approach her space and put their hands out to smell and make friends. She is a very cute dog, and must be tired of strangers coming up to her and forcing a friendship that she is wary of. We are looking for a home in a quiet area (not the city or busy public areas) so she does not need to deal with constant strangers approaching in the street. She will give a warning growl if she is unwillingly approached.
Due to the nature of her coat, it needs a good brushing often and she is happy to be pampered and bathed by her owner at the local pet shop.
She is very placid at home and only barks on the rare occasion of over excitement. She is an independent lady who likes your presence but does not like to be smothered. She needs her resting time and personal space respected as she can be a sensitive princess when disturbed.
Mischka has been diagnosed 2 years ago with a thyroid problem, that cause weight and coat issues. Now it well managed by simple medication. Treatment is with 1 1/2 small ''Thyroxene" tablets given twice a day (est coast about $60 for 100tablets- please ask your vet for clarification). When she takes her tablet hidden in some chicken or a piece of carrot, she is so gentle. There are no complaints for the extra goodies and it is gone is a second.
We are looking for a dedicated owner, in the quieter parts of the world that is looking for a fluffy companion. Mischka would prefer someone home, more often than not as this is what she is used to. She is a great companion and lived a busy life. She needs a home with no kids, no other pets and preferably without another dog. She deserves the best home to relax and enjoy your company.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
