About Bucky
Bucky is an older gentleman looking for a peaceful home to see out his sunset years.
He is an independent fellow and incredibly low maintenance. He loves his food and enjoys pats and head scratches. He spends his days sleeping, preferably outside in the sun, and is an early riser. He will take a while to adjust and really settle into his new home but once he does he loves affection and having a chat- he has a lot to say! He is extremely gentle- I’ve never had a hiss or a swat and is a very easy companion.
Bucky is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and will have a 3-month Bravecto flea and worm treatment applied the day you adopt him. He is a pure-breed Russian Blue, safe for people with cat allergies (we adopted his brothers and sister to people with allergies). He is 10 years old.
If you would like to meet Bucky in person, please complete our 'Adoption Expression of Interest' form on our website and select 'Bucky' as the cat. He lives in Bondi. Following the application, it's a quick video house inspection before arranging the meet-and-greet. If the meet-and-greet goes well, you may complete the 'Adoption Agreement Form' along with the adoption fee to complete the adoption and arrange a pickup. His adoption fee is $100. We do a 2-week adoption trial should things not work out and you wish to return him, however, the adoption fee is non-refundable.

Adoption details
The adoption process begins when the interested party sends forward an Expression of Interest application. William will then assesses their home for suitability using a video call. If William feels the adopter's home and the adopter are suitable, the adopter may liaise with the foster carer to organise a meet and greet at the foster carer's house. We do not take the cat/kitten out of their known environment for meet and greets. William will ask the foster carer for feedback on the adopters’ suitability.
If the interested party is suitable, William will organise all adoption paperwork and monies, and commence the adoption trial.
The adoption trial is a 2-week period that may only begin once the animal has passed its adopter's suitability check, a veterinary health check, has current vaccination paperwork, a desexing certificate, and flea/worm treatment. The behaviour of the animal is also observed and assessed before making them available for adoption to help ensure that the animal is appropriate for adoption and to determine the behavioural needs of the animal.
Once the adoption trial has succeeded and the owner is satisfied to keep the animal, a second house visit is carried out with the animal's paperwork handed over to the new owner. Please note that the adoption fee must be paid prior to the adoption trial and is non-refundable.
