About Wagyumi
Hi, this is Wagyumi, or Wags for short.
Wags is an affectionate and active girl who LOVES tennis balls and catching the breeze during car rides so would like an active family who will take her on adventures but also be committed to taking things slow to help her settle in.
If you are interested in a adopting Wags, then there are some things you should know before hand.
Firstly, Wags is utterly infatuated with toys. She loves a good game of fetch or tug of war, she is also very smart and knows many cues such as sit, wait, go to bed and walks nicely on lead.
Although Wags has shown us she can walk nicely near other dogs she can become fearful of them and shows clear signals such as a scrunched up face and closed mouth and will stop walking and chooses to avoid other dogs, so she can't go home with another dog and its probably best to avoid dog parks and beaches to ensure she is always made to feel at ease.
It's imperative that Wags goes to a home that has a sizable yard so she can run and play, as well having access to indoors. She will need her new family to provide her with activities to keep her busy and understand how to provide calming enrichment too such as Kong's and licky mats which will help her settle.
Wags can also have a tendency to jump up on people when she is feeling anxious or over whelmed so for this reason it would be best if she goes to a home where there are no children under 12 years of age. If you are committed to her ongoing training, helping her settle and being an advocate for her when feeling uncomfortable, she will certainly show you she can be the best companion.
oh, and another thing about Wags is we often find her in the yard chilling out listening classical music!
Wags is currently hanging out at our rehab facility in Windsor, please fill out an exceptional owners form if you are interested in meeting her
