About Jethro
6-year-old greyhound boy Jethro is looking to start 2021 with a forever home of his very own.
Jethro has been lapping up the good life in foster care where he has settled in like an absolute champ. He has lovely house manners, is toilet trained, and has mastered a few basic commands and words (his name, ‘walk’, lie down, ‘hungry’).
Jethro is currently living as an only dog and would be happy to continue to be the centre of his human’s world. He has also made a couple of greyhound friends and could go into a home with another friendly hound. Jethro has not been socialised with other breeds and is not small dog friendly.
Jethro loves going to walks and is happy to hang out with his humans at the local cafes, parks, and markets. He is not bothered by most other dogs but needs some space from smaller breeds.
Jethro is currently living in a home with a couple of dog-savvy primary school aged children. He is friendly and calm and loves their attention. Since coming into care Jethro’s family has been home most of the time and he is used to frequent human company. He does okay home alone for school pick-ups/drop-offs etc but would not be suited to long hours by himself. We think he would be okay with part-time workers, if they could slowly build up the amount of time he is left.
Jethro is your typical couch potato greyhound but does like to do a few zoomies too. Jethro's preference is a home with at least some outdoor space. That said, we are happy to consider apartment/smaller homes that tick all other boxes and are dedicated to a twice-daily walking routine.
Every greyhound has at least one quirk and Jethro’s is a penchant for collecting the families shoes and toys to keep close by. He’s a gentleman though and will trade them back for a treat 😊
If you think your home sounds just what Jethro is looking for, please contact us at: adopt@amazinggreys.com.au
Before enquiring please consider:
a) What your work/social commitments will look like as things reach a ‘Covid-normal’
b) The time and financial commitments of adopting a forever hound
Please no enquiries from homes with:
- small/medium dogs, cats, or other pocket pets
- FT working hours (where Jethro would be home alone)
