Meet Arthur! This giant old man came to the shelter as a stray, and while he enjoys the company and affections of staff, he is really looking forward to leaving this place to watch over his new home in his graceful style. Arthur is an older boy, so is looking for a more 'retirement' style home. He likes to be petted, and he likes the attention of people, but he isn't all about the lap cat type of life. He is more than happy to follow you around, gaze out the windows, and sleep nice and cozy and snug in his (and probably your) bed. He has no interest in being near other animals (rightfully so, no old chap should have to deal with the younguns!) but could potentially live with savvy, sensible kids.
