About Jack
Jack was adopted by a family with kids. Even though we love jack he is being left alone during the day while we work and go to school and has started to bark and annoy the neighbours to amuse himself. Jack doesn't do any these things on the weekend when we are home and spending time with him. He is obviously very bored during the day. Our other dog is not so fussed and is happy so long as she gets time and cuddles at night. Jack is a loving boy who loves cuddles and will happily sidle up on your knee for a cuddle (and stay there all night). He loves nothing more than running after a tennis ball and being around the kids. Of his own volition he often gets onto the trampoline with the kids! he is not so good around little kids, he just gets too excited and tends to bowl them over! whilst jack is used to sleeping outside, he does come into our house and (aside from the initial marking the odd spot) has never disgraced himself. With a little more training i am sure he would be easily house trained. Jack is very intelligent, will sit and stay and has really good recall. So basically jack is a good little boy. I can see him being really happy with an older person \ who is home all day. He needs secure fencing. His digging skills mean that he can also escape under gates if not concreted. Jack walks well on the lead - he does need a quick pace though. He is like an every ready battery and will walk for miles, then still wants more. I ride my bike and he runs along side me for miles. In areas away from the road he is fine off lead as his recall is good (so long as he doesn't spot a rabbit then he is off). Jack does not like cats much and anything that is small and fury is fair game. He is ok with other dogs (as long as they are ok with him) and has been used to living with another dog (female). He is easily distracted with a squeaky ball if not behaving !
