About Smidge
Have you ever heard that expression ‘move over a smidge’ – well I don’t believe in that expression – ‘move over a Smidge’ nope I loooooove to sit as close to my human as possible!
So hey I am Smidge a Aussie Bulldog who is just shy of 5 months of age (I’m just a baby still)
Anyone who meets me says I’m a laugh and a half – I am a super happy funny little girl who loves everyone and everything – I have no concept of space and will happily snooze on you, over you or under you.
I love to play with toys and if there is another dog I love to play with them as well.
Now I know that my cuteness alone is a seller but I have a confession to make I did come into care with needing a bit of guidance for when it comes to sharing my humans with other dogs – I still from time to time will give a snap if I’m on the bed / couch and another dog wants to be up with me and my human, but a quick ‘Smidge’ and I do try and remember my manners and then I’m happy to share. (the rescue says that is my quirk!)
Probably also that whilst I’m great with everyone – I has no boundaries at all!
I would very much like to be a part of any family I’m with – I do prefer to have company with either my foster humans or foster fur sister. They keep repeating some line of ‘their little shadow once or twice’. My dream home would be with someone who either works from home or doesn't work and is a home body. I am still working on being a big girl when new people arrive as I do get nervous but as long as people don’t rush me and let me get used them I’m all good.
My foster sister who is a big breed and I have a love and then a sometimes strained relationship – I forget that I am not the boss of the house and once in a while want to be. My foster sister is big so she normally just tries to sit on me when I start to muck up and ignores me. My foster dad says while I am cute and cuddly I can also be a bit bossy.
I have not been around cats but my foster family thinks I will be okay – I am not keen on having their sharp nails scratch my nose.
I am child friendly but screaming kids or really high energy kids do make me nervous and I do not want to be carried around by children please.
I am a girl who enjoys the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners. I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.
